I have never quite understood the Get it now mentality that is so rampant in the United States (And in other places, but at a far lower rate). I have a cell phone, and I use the internet, and sadly on occasion I eat at a fast resteraunt but thats about it.

I stopped watching tv and going to the movies and all that and just began to enjoy hanging with my friends and enjoying the outdoors.

I am calling anyone who reads my blog to get off your tucus, and go outside. Turn off the T.V, put down your lap top and your cell phone and live a little. Its about time for us all too return to our roots.

Philosophy

I have a lot of views on Philosophy, specifically in the sub-genre of Theology. Mankind strives to make sense of their beginnings and each faith claims to have the answer. But I sense an aura of exclusion amongst many religions, that only they are right and the rest are wrong. Why cant all faiths be right?

My belief is this, everyone should have a belief system. Not necessarily in a deity so much, as something. An energy source, nature, science, etc. No faith or belief is wrong. I myself adhere to Judaic Wicca (Judaism and Wicca). I believe in Ado-ai the Hebrew G-d, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (And of Christianity and Islam) and believe he is the Father G-d. However, I believe in the existence of all the other g-ds.

Do I condemn any one else for believing differently than myself? No. I encourage it in fact. I say go and figure out your beliefs. I dont care if your parents are Catholic, dont just roll over and say "My family is, so I too must be". Research other faiths. You may actually chose to be Catholic, or whatever, but at least see what else is out there and make the CHOICE for YOURSELF.

Religion should be used to unite, not divide. That is my main complaint about Christianity (Chiefly) is its use of Division. "You must be a christian or your going to hell". That is the modern Christians Mantra, and its not the one given forth from Christ. The message, the true message, of Jesus Christ has been corrupted. Its no longer about love and peace and tolerance, its about exclusion, hate, fear, and submission. And not even to the will of G-d but to man.

Christ himself said that "Those who love know G-d, those who know not love do not know G-d, for G-d is love". I dont get that feeling from a majority of Christian groups. Now, I am not condemning Christianity as a whole, but based on my experiences, I see Modern Christianity as a Behemoth of Hate and Exclusion, in which they cant even love and accept their fellow Christians.

I didnt want this to be a "Hate Christian" thing, which it is not, so I shall move forward with my ideas. (By the way, when I write these blogs, I chose a broad statement, and let myself go. I find its interesting to both the reader and myself as to where it goes).

I dont know where to go now, but I can say this, Religion is not evil. G-ds and Goddesses are not evil. Mankinds interpretation of Religion and Divine Will, can however be evil. So it hurts me greatly when Atheists claim people of faith to be weak, and ignorant. Atheism may be the right answer, but who is to say what is right for another.

The Economy and other startling occurances

I am not quite understanding some things at the moment. I have been sitting here in my friends dark room for hours now, pondering things, some darker than my normal pondering, but over all I am left with the singular question. Why dont we stand up for our rights any more? What happened to the 60's where when things were wrong, people took to the streets and protested. Why cant we do that anymore? Have we grown so apathetic that we care only for our own selfish needs, even if it leads to our own detriment? Its really depressing, and no one my age really sees it the way I do.

Our Economy is fucked, pardon my french (Although I dont think that word is french O_o), and we sit idly by and will complain to our friends frequently, but as to do something about it, why that would only require us to get off our collective ass and do something. Why dont we? Unemployment rates are increasing, the price of gas is outrageous, often consuming half if not all of a single pay check, prices of groceries are going up, and layoffs are becoming the norm. Yet Der Fuhrer says, "Spend more money, our economy is just fine". We are getting assurances from other government officials saying we are fine, but we the people know differently.

I guess most of all that I am disheartened that our generation cares so little for politics, which has become taboo for no one wants conflict of opinion anymore, or the world around them, that they go into their world of youtube and myspace, and as long as the moment feels good, the Government can do what they will to us, our civil liberties (A blog on this will be done soon), and our home land. Its really depressing, and I say its damn time we stood up for ourselves again. Take the spirit of the 60's and bring it back, use it to better this nation, and snap out of this daze we are in.

My Views
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

I have seen a lot in my 18 years. I am a Child Abuse survivor and a openly Gay Male. I am firm in my faith which is Judaism. I was born into a non-jewish family, which there were jewish people in the family way way back. I converted to Judaism after I did a bit of soul searching. I don't accept what people tell me is the norm, just because they say its so. I form my own views, often in direct defiance of the established thought on the subject.

I am a Liberal, but one that most Liberals would hate and that Conservatives would hate. I believe we can take a lot from other world governments, including Communism. Now before you turn on me right now, there are good aspects to everything. You just have to look hard enough. And who said Democracy was flawless and the only way to go?

I believe in peace, through Diplomacy. However, there are instances when you have tried every diplomatic action in the world, when nothing else will work but War. I believe war should be used when and only when, diplomacy is ineffective. I do not believe the Government should involve itself in our lives like it has in the past 7 years.

I believe in Interfaith Dialog between the three monotheistic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). I believe in Gay rights, Human Rights, Racial Equality, Womens Rights, and the right of the people to make up their mind on things. I reject the notion of Global Warming. I believe its a scam and some day people will see it. The founder of the weather channel, who is a well respected meteorologist who has devoted his whole life to his science, has even denounced it. Just because Al Gore speaks, does not make it gold.

Too often today the Extreme Liberal Far Left takes a hold and has too much influence in how things work. I hate to admit it, but Vegans and Vegetarians and P.E.T.A annoy me. Let me explain. You can have your views, but dont come at me for eating Meat. Its my choice. I think its silly that we want the world to conform to our view, because we see it as holy and the only way to go. I believe there are many ways to get to the end besides my way, and am open to them. Thats the problem with the people I speak of. Its their way or no way at all. I have rambled enough for now, so alas, I leave you.
